Use A 'Tell A Friend Script' To Increase Your Traffic

With more and more websites appearing daily, it seem to be getting
harder and harder for those webmasters to get traffic to their sites.
Over the past few years many methods have been developed to try
and solve this problem. While some methods work, others make a
very small impact, if any. Like Banner advertising for an example -
not what it used to be.
One of the methods that have made many success stories in driving
traffic to websites is Viral Marketing. Viral Marketing is used to get
one person to share something they find informative, entertaining
and what they feel is worthwhile. What they share of course is only
a benefit to you if that information directs back in some way to
your website or business.
Not anything really new, but an ingenious form of marketing that is
generally low, or no cost and is a great tool for any webmaster or
company to use. The benefits greatly overshadow the cost and efforts
to market this way. Such as 'word of mouth' which is free, but most
definately works. People tend to 'follow' a friends suggestion, don't
you?
So, that's where a 'Tell A Friend Script' can come into play, and big
time at that.
It is one of the simplest and easiest methods in Viral Marketing to
implement. All it is is a simple programming script that you can attach
to the programming or install as a 'copy and paste' java code to your
website page(s). Most often, a Tell A Friend Script is installed on
pages where some media is placed so that a person can easily send
that media information to any of their friends or even family members.
The basic concept of a Tell A Friend Script is a script whereby a
person can input their name, e-mail address, the recipient’s e-mail
address and send the media information to the intended recipient just
like an e-mail with an attachment. When that recipient receives the
e-mail they wouldn’t think of the message as spam mail because they
would see the sender’s name as someone they know and trust.
Tell A Friend Scripts also eliminate the chances of the message
being blocked or filtered to the recipient because they will use the information inputted from the sender. It could be called a 'sneaky'
technique, but it allows for wider spreading of the marketing message
and it is very effective.
When the e-mail message is sent and then opened, that message will
be read, viewed or played. Also, along with that message would be a
brief description of your website or company that sponsors it. This
would give you an introduction to your website or company name and
therfore your products as well, and along with that is another
Tell A Friend Script, so they in turn could pass along your details
to someone else they know, spreading your information even further.
Viral Marketing at it's finest and all to your benefit.
As the process continues, more and more people will know of the
existence of your website or company, driving traffic back to you
and increasing the number of potential customers.
A Tell A Friend Script is very simple and does not require any real
complicated methods or a programming degree. In fact, as I mentioned
you can copy and paste a script and simply put it on any web page you
choose. Finding a script is even easier. Do a search with any search
engine by typing in the search box “tell a friend script” then press
enter or click go.
The search results page will show you many links that will direct you
to a site where you can get the script. There are plenty of free
scripts to use, so buying one isn't neccessary. Just be sure to check
that the particular script you want to use won't capture any email
addresses input into it or redirect to their site or add their own
information to the sent message. Most will not, but when free is
involved, there are some not so nice people out there. Once you find
one you like, change the code to reflect your information and add it
to the page(s) on your website
You must realize an increase in traffic to your website will not take
place over night and make you a multi-millionaire in the morning.
It will take time as it needs time to spread virally, to be shared,
but many will still see your webpage form and there is great
probability that others will visit your site, pass it on, increasing
your traffic flow. It is a 'set and forget' marketing plan you only
have to implement one time. Unless your information details change,
but in a couple seconds with a code change, you are good to go.
